CrossFit Kids presents a CrossFit program that delivers hard work and big fun for kids. This program, by design is broad, general, and inclusive. CrossFit Kids strives to get kids moving in ways that are useful, challenging, and fun. A child does not need to be an athlete to participate in CrossFit programming. Athletics is a specialized pursuit. As the CrossFit Kids headquarters states, “Our goal is to support the specialist, but reward the generalist.” We want kids to grow up healthy and strong while developing a lifelong love of working out. We aim to get kids running, jumping, pushing, pulling, throwing, climbing, and lifting in ways that are effective and safe regardless of whether they play athletics.
Some of you might say, why not just do sports? Well, let me tell you there are many reasons why CrossFit Kids is a awesome activity for your kid.
Kids need to move – it’s a fact and part of growing up that kids need physical activity! So, we teach kids movement and how to improve their overall well being and self esteem.
It’s FUN! Many of our students don’t really know that they are even working out. They are having such a good time moving, laughing and playing that the “workout” doesn’t seem like anything more than play.
Kids will get much more than improved fitness from our CrossFit Kids program here at CFW. We use fitness as a method to teach responsibility, commitment and self confidence. Each day your child comes here we challenge them and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone to strive for improved health and fitness that will last a lifetime.
