Weightlifting: 1RM Snatch Retest (11/24)
We’re resting our lift today – remember that although we should be regularly practicing our squat snatch, we are performing whatever lift is our strongest as the cycle aimed to improve both.
Conditioning: As many reps as possible in 9 mins of: 3 Box Jumps, 24/20 in 3 Hang Squat Snatches, 75/55 lbs 6 Box Jumps, 24/20 in 6 Hang Squat Snatches, 75/55 lbs 9 Box Jumps, 24/20 in 9 Hang Squat Snatches, 75/55 lbs … Continue adding 3 reps each round to each movement until time expires.
Workout – we are going to be introducing hang squat snatches for reps in a workout today to practice cycling. If an athlete is uncomfortable squatting directly in the snatch, perform 1 power snatch + 1 overhead squat. If this is still an issue, only perform the overhead squat.
