You guys are well aware, CrossFit is hard. But, it’s the challenge that attracted you here and keeps you here. Now that you decided to take this journey, there’s no point in taking the easy road. The easy road lets you stop when there’s 15 seconds left on the clock. The easy road lets you use 20 pounds less than you did last time. The easy road makes you take that extra sip of water, makes you go find the chalk bucket, makes you triple check how much time is left on the clock.
So much of getting fit is a mental game. It’s all about what you decide to do when you start to get tired. Will you let yourself off the hook and say “That’s close enough” or will you push yourself a step further? My challenge to you is to routinely get out of your comfort zone. Yes, there is a progression to it and it’s about self-awareness. But, your fitness is your livelihood so don’t take “No” for an answer. Get after it, take ownership, and push harder. As they say, “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”
