What Inspires You?

I love the CrossFit Games. It’s such an amazing avenue for human beings (who have the capacity to do so) to display just how far the physical prowess our race has progressed. When you watch how far these incredible specimens are able to push the limits of what we believe humans are capable of . . . it’s influence is undeniable.

First, I need a little feedback from you. What has been your favorite moment of the games so far? Mine, by far, is the Burden Run. I few years ago, I commented on a post here at cfw.com that I wanted to see a WOD that legitimately took the world’s fittest 30mins or longer to finish so I could see them look the way I do during a workout. That WOD easily did the trick. How do you feel about this year’s games?

The other thing I enjoy about this time of year is how our community accepts the different challenges the Games present. Take a look at the picture above. Coach Sara, Coach Eve, Regional Team Member Frank, James, and Paul all decided to row longer than they’ve ever rowed before (some several times longer). What else would’ve made them attempt such an endeavor?

Never rowed farther than 2k before today. I was humbled to be part of such an event with such amazing people. Thank you for allowing me to challenge myself with such amazing company.

Burden run for individuals or the clean and jerk ladder. The grit and determination these people show is, like you said, undeniable. Plus, the odd objects we awesome to watch. Human potential is yet to be tapped. People bump up against it daily at this level but true human potential is untapped. Side note: josh bridges going unbroken on naughty nancy is truly mental and shows grit that not a lot of people have.
