Yes, it’s hot. I know. And no, there is no A/C. But, I think if you wanted to be comfortable while you workout, you wouldn’t be doing CrossFit.

We’re smack-dab right in the middle of the summer so we have a few more months of super-sweaty WODs. I realize we keep repeating ourselves but I can’t stress the importance of planning ahead to maximize your results in this summer heat. Please consider the following:

Get & Stay Hydrated

Eat Well (Food affects hydration.)

Pace yourself in the WOD

Protect Your Hands with:

-Option 1

-Option 2

-Option 3 (Please don’t do this . . .)

Bring a change of clothes.

20 MINUTES TO FIND 1 REP MAX POWER CLEAN

THEN

EVERY MINUTE ON THE MINUTE FOR 5 MINUTES

1 POWER CLEAN @ 90% OF 1RM

    Option 2 works the best IMO but takes longer to make and to prep each time you’re putting them on. They do last many many WODS though once made and allow your hands to breath well. Gloves are faster to put on, but hotter, and expensive.
