Unfortunately, Freda Field will be leaving us as her family is being stationed in North Carolina. Freda has only been here for a short time but did not wait to make herself right at home here and a part of a lot of lives. We will definitely miss you, Freda.
I had been CrossFitting for about a year and a half before I moved to the area and found CrossFit Woodbridge. I had developed a strong foundation at my first box but had a two month hiatus because of moving. After a couple weeks back CrossFitting I felt a little bit stronger. Then after a couple months I started experiencing significant gains. During the six months at CrossFit Woodbridge I PR’ed in all of my lifts and now feel the strongest I have ever been. Last year, while participating in the CrossFit Open, I injured my back during the second workout and was out for a good month. That incident made me a little fearful of really pushing myself at the risk of getting injured again. I could tell that the coaches saw my hesitation to lift heavier or even do the movement at all. After they helped me build confidence during the WODs I decided to participate in the Open again and even made it to our very own CrossFit Woodbridge Games 🙂 I also entered the Whole Life Challenge for the second year and scored higher this time. My experience here at Crossfit Woodbridge has been purely amazing! With the combination of dedicated coaches, focus on mobility, chiropractic care with Dr. Pauley, and the great friendships I’ve made at the box I am the strongest I have ever been in my life. The CrossFit Kids program is also wonderful and has helped my kids in many ways. I strongly believe CrossFit can do amazing things in anyone’s life. I want to thank all of the coaches and all the inspiring people I have had the privilege to meet and WOD with. My CrossFit journey doesn’t end here but I will never forget how CrossFit Woodbridge has helped me along the way.
