Real proud of everyone’s range of motion tonight during “Cindy.”
I recently put a post up on Facebook that said “I would give up _____ before I gave up CrossFit.” I heard some good things like cookies, tv, coke or my husband. Do you think that CrossFit is addicting? What aspect or aspects are addicting to you? Is it the community? The workouts? The fact that there is usually one person that is better than you no matter how good you do? Maybe all of the above. For me it’s the fact that there is someone out there or, usually, right in my own gym that is better than me at something. Whether it be strength or rowing or today’s workout Cindy. I’m never done with my fitness, there’s always somewhere to go or something to get better at. That’s what is so addicting to me.
Today:
30-20-10
Push press
SDHP
2 rope climbs after each set
*95/65 for both movements.

Wow. Thanks for the pic of my big fat ass on the website, Dan! Ugh!!!
Yes Dan….thank you….lol Sorry, I couldnt pass that up!
I think it is a combination of the community and the competitiveness. Being so new to the area, I don’t know very many folks yet so its a great place to meet some new folks, and hopefully develop some friendships. I enjoy the competitiveness because it keeps things from getting boring, and boring is the quickest motivation killer for me.
Thera—If I may respectfully remark “Tu nalgas es muy caliente” —(Your Booty Very Hot),
So as for the Addiction posting—I forgot to answer it on FB, so I’ll say it here…I never worry about whose better then me, young or old, some one is always going to be better. So for me I stride to improve my techniques, strength and stamina with the help of my coaches and most importantly the CFW community. Yes, the community is a very important aspect of wanting to return to the CFW box for another grueling WOD. Without the community aspect, it’s just another gym…Case in point, On Sunday we were Cleaning, Matt while working on his own max, would take the time to coach me up,.After several attempts I finally got the technique and was able to PR 155lb, hopefully I can excel from here…Point is, here at CFW, members are willing to extend a helping hand, a smile, a joke etc…That’s very cool, that’s a community..
It’s the challenge and excitement of the WOD’s. I personal get bored going to the gym. It’s the same old, old. Lift the weight, run on the treadmill… BORING. It’s never boring at CFW; the coaches and community make sure of that. It’s like Jeremy said “boring is the quickest motivation killer”.
